Our NO BOUNDARIES 5K TRAINING PROGRAM will get you from your couch to the finish line of a 5K. All levels of walkers and runners are welcome. Our dedicated coaches will be there with you every step of the way, regardless of your pace. The program is structured to help you cross the finish line of your first race in just 10-12 weeks! It can also help existing runners meet new performance goals. Along the way we’ll provide you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you!
The Program meets twice a week during the training period, once on Tuesday evenings and once on Saturday mornings. The workouts will last about an hour to an hour and a half as we increase mileage throughout the season.
As part of the No Boundaries training program, participants will receive the following:
When is the information session? Tuesday, 2 May 2017, 6:30PM or Thursday, 4 May 2017, 6:30PM. Both meetings will be held at Fleet Feet Sports Delray Beach.
When are the Group Training Sessions? Tuesday Nights @ 6:30PM and Saturday Mornings @ 6:30AM
Where do we meet? All practices will start from Fleet Feet Sports Delray Beach
How much does this program cost? $75 per participant.
Q: What is the cost of the registration?
A: A special price of $75. Price is determined by the amount of weeks spent training and the distance of the race we are working towards.
Q: I am just a walker. Is this still the right program for me?
A: Absolutely. We have an all walking group in each session of NOBO so you can still work towards your goals with others.
Q: If I miss workouts, or I have to consistently miss one of the days of our weekly meetings does that mean I cannot be involved in the program?
A: Of course you can still be involved! We would love to have every trainee at every run, but understand that life and obligations may get in the way. Just make sure that you are completing your training runs independently so you don’t fall behind on your progress! Also, let your coach and mentors know when you expect to miss so we don’t worry about you!
Q: How do I register?
A: You can register for our Summer session by clicking here.
Q: What if I have to miss the informational meeting?
A: No big deal! Just come to the first workout and we can get you up to speed then. Or e-mail Mackenzie what day you are planning to attend and she can give you a run-down, get you in touch with the coach, send you the details via e-mail and walk you through registration. Also remember that the informational meeting is intended for people who still need to know more before they commit to registering. If you already know you want to get involved, there is no need for you to come to that meeting.
Q: Can I come to the first workout before deciding to register?
A: Of course! We are confident after you see what the programs are all about that you will want to get involved.
Q: What does the training schedule look like?
A: We will be starting at small mileages and building over the course of the program. It will never change suddenly or dramatically and you will always be well prepared for any increase distance.
Q: Where do we meet?
A: The training location and days/dates/times will be announced to you before the start of the season. They are also always included in your weekly newsletters!
